We’ve gathered once again after more than a year to celebrate the holiest of holidays on our calendar – the SCLP.
We recently had to say goodbye to Paradoxx who passed away before his time. This SCLP was in memory of our good friend. A SCLP battle station and an empty chair was placed in his honor, using his very own comp setup. RIP pdx.
GilTil attended his first SCLP and showed immense potential as the leader of the next generation of SCLPers. Don’t let the looks fool you, this little dude will rip you apart with his trash talk and mind games.
Games
- Battlefield 3 – The Venice Unleashed mod breathes life into BF3 by providing an incredibly stable and refined way to play on dedicated servers with bots. What a treat!
- MORDHAU – An epitome of SCLP games. A wide selection of custom maps in coop mode vs bot armies is what we’re here for. Mordhau is now reaching legendary status. This time we tried the Demon Horde user mod maps which were not very balanced and a little buggy but still fun.
- Faaast Penguin – Downhill penguin racer with hints of Mario Kart. A little undercooked.
- Crossout – This one enjoyed a quick ragequit as it didn’t feel it wants to be played by us.
- Forts – Maybe the most divisive game of the SCLP. Some found it brilliant while others hated it. Some had the mechanics on lock while other struggled simply to keep their own base alive. Overall very interesting strategy game of Scorched Earth with base building.
- Legion TD 2 – As TD connoisseurs we simply must try them all. This one felt very single-note without much player agency.
- Omega Strikers – The unexpected gem of the SCLP. Incredibly fun Zealot Hockey with a wide range of characters and abilities. We had to stop ourselves from playing it the entire night. A shame that it seems like a dying game.
- Sand Demo – Guns of Icarus on mechs in the desert. Definitely will keep an eye on this one in the future.
- Teeworlds – Very cute F2P Soldat game, a little shallow.
- Turbo Golf Racing – Imagine Rocket League but you have to shoot the ball into a golf hole, either the fastest between all the players or with the least hits. Incredibly fun.
- You Suck at Parking – Have to park your car the fastest on the 8 different parking spots on the map, some are harder to reach than others. Very chaotic, had a blast with this.
Food
- La Cappa – Best pizza in KS!
- Paris Texas – These guys know how to deliver a burger, v.good.
- Burek-Raist – Classic.
- Hummus – CLASSIC.
- Mistake Not Wafflez & Cookies – Impressive baking skillz, yummy.
- Hotdiggity-dogs – Even these couldn’t convince BoonA to skip reserve service.
- Maple cake(s) – Ulquiorra made his rendition, plus complementary official temp-cake from Mama pdx <3
