Amid covid waves and vaccinations we managed to carve out small slice of time for the soul – in the form of a friendly gather we call sclp.
The Yavne residence was very generously left in our possession for a shorter than usual 2D-sclp.
Despite the tighter schedule we were able to make most of it, by researching and pre-installing the games a few days in advance – an initiative which proved beneficial and wise. Who knew :D
The act of choosing which game to play next was left in the hand of RNGesus, in an attempt to squelch many of the whines and complaints (Undetermined results on this front).
A very cozy and kosher Suka made it all the more festive for us.
This was also the first ByoDog sclp, featuring the goodest bois and gurls such as Pepper, Captain and Bubu.
Games
Black Mesa – What happens when you try to derp through the SP campaign with 12 idiots? You guessed it, pure chaos and game breakage. Also a pro tip: don’t try to host servers on WiFi.
DOOM 2016 – Surprisingly robust and deep multiplayer mode for this awesome game. Demon rune OP.
Project Winter – Mafia/Werewolf/Among Us style game with nice systems and sophisticated tasks. Could be fun online.
Element TD 2 – Becoming more stable and playable, easily gives a fight to the StarCraft2 Arcade TDs.
MORDHAU – The game that keeps on giving, solidly placed in the pantheon of sclp games. Revamped horde mode maps and other updates make it hard to get bored from it.
Tribes of Midgard – Hero Siege standalone game, with some depth and nice progression system – has potential to come back in the future.
Wreckfest – A second dip into the destruction derby mayhem.
Diabotical – Surprisingly a very comprehensive F2P Quake inspired shooter, with lots of modes and customization options. Robust gunplay and movement make it very enjoyable.
