What’s this? Another SCLP so soon?
During such festive times between Hanukkah and Christmas, we made it even more special and gathered at the Yavne estate to send 2025 off with one final SCLP. Thanks RagingBunny for the initiative!
In the technical difficulty corner we were faced with an aggro clamp cupboard. The cupboard was maimed using a silver platter, and then properly decapitated with a critical hit. The kitchen was safe once again.
Games
- Rematch – A.K.A Fifu. The surprise hit of the SCLP. The developers of Sifu made a Rocket League game but with people instead of cars – what a novel idea. Very cool game with a high skill ceiling.
- Mordhau – Horde mode conquered. Before next SCLP we should research custom settings/difficulty modifiers.
- Legion TD 2 – 40 minutes of base building comes down to a 1.5 second difference between winning and losing.
- Counter-Strike 2 – Doesn’t get more classic than this. Intense and exciting competitive matches were had. CS2 maps look very good and feel fresh. ShockWave’s computer got confiscated for cheat suspicion.
- Star Wars Battlefront 2 – Kyber sets the
worldgalaxy on fire – a huge triumph for the mod scene. The game itself has exquisite production value – the characters/voice lines/music/environment all feel 100% Star Wars, just amazing. - Peak – A little too punishing for a SCLP environment (if you die you have to wait for next checkpoint). Nonetheless still a very fun game in LAN, lots of fun/funny emergent gameplay scenarios.
- Sons of the Forest – Base finished and we went exploring, found out there are many violent creatures outside. Not cool. The progression wall feels too high and we might be done with this installation. On to Forest 3.
Food
- Japanika – So nice, order it twice.
- Domino’s – Yavne branch gets 4 stars.
- Hummus – Respect the tradition.
- Raistlin’s Smokery Delights – The man knows his way around meats.
- Agadir – For that perfect midnight snack.
- Lemon / Chocolate Mousse cakes – Some sweet after the meat.
